Having combination skin and being prone to acne, one product that can make a huge difference to your skin is toner. You will be surprised at how many benefits a little toner has. Read below my 4 must-try toners for combination skin.
Pixi Glow Tonic To-Go Toner Exfoliating Pads
That super glow we all want. Pixi is an unexpected brand with amazing products. The Pixi Glow To-Go Tonic Exfoliating Pads are a cult favourite and for a good reason. The brand originates in England, but since their launch in Noth America, it has become one of my go-to skincare brands. The pads act as a gentle exfoliant to clear away dead skin cells. The best part about this combination skin toner is that it also cleans off any makeup you missed while cleansing. The Pixi Glow To-Go Tonic exfoliating pads are perfect for using as a toner because they don’t dry your skin, won’t cause irritation, but rather the pads keep your skin nicely moisturized and feeling soft. This product also comes in liquid form, but I personally love the exfoliating pads. The formula is perfect for combination skin, sensitive skin and acne prone skins.
AVEENO Positively Radiant Toner
I started using AVEENO products when I was in high school and I recently introduced the AVEENO Positively Radiant Toner to my skincare routine. The toner contains ACTIVE NATURALS® Soy extract that rebalance your skin without creating tightness or dryness. The product is an alcohol-free, oil-free and hypoallergenic toner. Since this is an alcohol-free toner, leaves my skin with an overall smooth texture and a silky feel. Usually what dries out your skin when you are using a toner is the alcohol, so ensure your toner doesn’t have any. No doubt about it, the AVEENO Positively Radiant Toner is perfect for combination skin. It will not only make your skin radiant, but it will also create the perfect surface for a seamless makeup application.
Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Toner
I cannot rave enough about Thursday Plantation products. Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Toner contains the antibacterial Tea Tree Oil, which removes excessive oil and bacteria from the skin without drying it. Another ingredient used for the product is Witch Hazel, which is a natural astringent that tightens your pores and improves your skin appearance drastically. Because of these two ingredients, this product is the perfect natural toner for combination skin types. A little bit goes a long way with this product so a small amount should be enough to do the job. Just be aware that the scent is very strong, but dissipates quickly. The more frequently you use the toner, the less you will notice the scent. For those of you that have combination skin but suffer from acne, this is my number one recommendation toner for drying out your acne quickly. Whenever I break out this is my go-to toner for my combination skin type.
Kopari Coconut Rose Toner
Another toner that is perfect for combination skin is Kopari Coconut Rose Toner. This is a vegan, alchohol-free, non-GMO toner that rejuvenates and restores your skin. What makes this toner stand out is its multi-effects on your skin. After using it I noticed my pores were evidently less visible which is great considering the product raves how it’s supposed to tighten your pores. I also noticed my skin tone improved. Kopari’s Coconut Rose Toner combines three of the best ingredients for any product: coconut extract, rose extract, and witch hazel. What makes this combo great is that it prevents redness, acne, and soothes any irritation you may have without drying out your skin. A nice bonus of the Kopari Toner is it can be used as a face primer and as a face mist throughout the day for a quick refresh as well. The scent is also so yummy, but if you prefer nonfragrant products, just heads up it can be a bit overwhelming.
