Driving around in circles to find a parking spot, overcrowded stores, tired arms from carrying around my heavy winter coat, not finding a chair to sit and rest; that is what I am faced with when I visit the mall during the holidays. Now that I am an RBC Avion cardholder my holiday shopping experience got a makeover by having access to the Avion Holiday Boutique. What is so unique about the Avion Holiday Boutique at Yorkdale Shopping Centre? Everything.
Complimentary Valet Parking
Have you ever tried to find a parking spot at the mall during the holidays? It is madness, but I still go because of the great variety of stores it offers. This time around though, instead of worrying about finding a parking spot, as soon as I arrived at Yorkdale I pulled my car up to the Valet Parking, dropped my keys off and I let the valet park my car. This was an incredibly positive way to start my holiday shopping experience. No more driving around endlessly.
VIP Lounge and Cafe
The best feature of the Avion Holiday Boutique is that it exists. After a couple of hours of shopping at Yorkdale, I needed a Zen moment to rest and hydrate. It was so lovely to be able to drop by the Avion Holiday Boutique and have that, simply by presenting my RBC Avion card. The lounge area instantly makes you feel right at home. Beautiful Christmas trees, magazines to read, and super comfy chairs where you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee as well as eat delicious cookies. There is nothing stressful about holiday shopping when I have access to the Avion Holiday Boutique.
Complimentary Gift Wrapping
Next, I stopped by the complimentary gift wrapping section. I dropped off my purchases, selected the paper and ribbon I wanted to be used and one of the staff members started wrapping my gifts. I have no gift wrapping skills whatsoever so it is wonderful to have access to this complimentary service which minimizes the stress.
Virtual Reality Experience
The boutique also features a Virtual Reality Experience, where Avioners can travel across the world to either an exotic beach for those that love the sun, a beautiful golf course for those that are sports enthusiasts, or a gourmet kitchen. Of course as soon as I put my VR headset on I chose to escape to the sunny destination. Afterwards I looked through the exclusive RBC Rewards offers on the Avion Passport App.
Exclusive Access to the Apple Store at Yorkdale, Carrefour Laval and the Pacific Centre in Vancouver. RBC values their clients, so as an added perk for Avioners, the Apple stores at these select malls will open exclusively to Avion cardholders on December 9 from 8:30am – 9:30am. As if that is not already amazing, Avioners will also receive a $50 iTunes gift card with their purchase. Yay for being an Avioner!
