I used to lay out my outfits the night before since 1st grade. No exaggeration. My mom can confirm she never dressed me or picked my outfits. My outfits were all ready to go the night before, sitting on my desk chair. Unfortunately, I stopped doing this a few years ago. With so many things happening throughout my day, I usually crash when all my work is done without me really thinking about my next day’s outfit. When the morning comes I am rushing out the door for work, and ironically considering I do blog about personal style, what I am going to wear is the last thing on my mind. That’s why I have my go to casual everyday outfit that always comes to the rescue when the morning clock is ticking. The shift dress.
Give me any shift dress with a few cute accessories and I am good to go. Honestly, a cute shift dress will cut down your getting ready time and it is perfect for all body types. I call this my pregnant dress because it is roomy, but honestly I love it. The shift dress is the perfect casual outfit because it will flatter your tummy, it will downplay a large bust, it is easily dressed up or down depending on the occasion, but it can also give some curves to those of you that are on the slimmer side. Essentially this is my go to dress. Below are some of my favourite shift dresses right now.
