My favourite new look? Cottage chic, because I just decided that it is the next trend. I am all about being a country girl and dressing comfortably is my jam, but being chic and stylish comes hand in hand with my daily look. If you followed my Instagram account over this past weekend you may have saw all my cottage adventures in Prince Edward County for my birthday. We drove around the never ending wineries, walked from store to store in Picton, strolled on Sandbanks beach, and ate lots of delicious food at Drake Devonshire, let alone lounging on the cutest Airbnb The Ferg. The last thing I needed was an uncomfortable outfit that would make me feel uneasy during all these activities. I have been wanting to grab a pair of gingham pants for the longest time, and I finally found the perfect pair last week when I made a quick stop at one of my favourite Canadian retailers, LE CHÂTEAU.
I am absolutely in love with these gingham skinny pants for many reasons. A) They are wonderfully stretchy, but just the right amount of stretchy. Stretchy enough to eat as much as you want, but tight enough to feel like everything is in place. I actually got a size 2 so they do run a bit big because I am usually a size 4, so make sure to grab a smaller size than usual. At least if you have the same body type as me. B) The fact that these pants fall just above the knee add an instant fresh Spring feel to the look. To add a bit of a city chic vibe to the mix of my country chic look I wore a pair of shooties. Also, from LE CHÂTEAU is the cute blush floral light-weight sweater. My favourite thing about this sweater is the little bow at the edge of the top where you can tighten or loosen up your top depending on how tight you make your bow.
