Last week I shared my experience at The Adelaide Hotel Toronto during our Christmas holiday getaway, and the amazing services they offer to dogs. I thought I would share how we also spent our day. Other than being amazed by how big the room is (probably bigger that our apartment dare I say) the hotel is also located in an amazing location. In the heart of the Financial District. Surrounded by world renowned restaurants (and by that I mean in Eleni’s world lol) but no seriously. Our favourite restaurant Byblos is just a 15 minute walk away, Cactus Cafe Club is just around the corner, and of course best part Winners is across the street. You know, if you want to go shopping.
Morning comes and you know me, I am a grumpster. Do not talk to me, do not engage in eye contact, just don’t come near when that sun rises. Last thing I want to deal with in the morning is deciding on what to have for breakfast.Thankfully, at the hotel you can decide what you want for breakfast in advance. Choose your breakfast options, place your card on the handle outside your suite door and you are set to go. As you can imagine I was very happy in the morning when all I had to do was open the door and tadah! Breakfast is served. Breakfast was not disappointing, in fact Kamiran wouldn’t stop raving about the eggs. I have to admit they were cooked to perfection. After many cuddles with Margot, we decorated our gingerbread house and gingerman cookies.
While Kam and Margot were napping, I decided to to treat myself to an Oxygen Facial at the PUREBEAUTY SALON & SPAinside the hotel.I usually stay away from facials because of the sensitive nature of my skin.We have all seen the mortifying episode of Samantha getting a chemical peel and having a bad reaction to it.I dis not want that to be me. Truthfully, I was scared I would break out after or that my skin would have an allergic reaction to the products. I was wrong. My skin has actually never felt better than it did after I had the facial. Most importantly, my skin never broke out and this is a big deal. If you have sensitive skin like me I highly recommend. My skin felt hydrated, renewed and I was glowing!
After my facial was done Kamiran and I got ready to go see Star Wars (family of nerds here) at Scotia Bank Theatre. Because we are major homebodies we made our way back to the hotel after the movie was over for more snuggles with Margot. But if you prefer to go out and be less grandma than I am, here are my recommendations.
