I found myself emerged in a modern day family. Not married but living with le boyfriend, our precious Margot is what I call our first born although clearly she’s a dog and definitely not our first born, and Kamiran is Muslim and by no means celebrates Christmas but then I am Christian and let’s just say Christmas is my jam! This is why I call my family my version of a modern family. We aren’t your typical cookie cutter family. Other than keeping my core traditions like celebrating Christmas Day and Kamiran his, I wanted Kamiran and I to create new traditions for our family as well.
Before Margot came along, Kamiran and I loved little getaways and we also loved our 5 star hotels. Our home away from home, except bigger and with a turndown service. We all love that! We are definitely lovers of quality with the right amount of luxury. But since Margot came into the picture that changed. There is only one item on our requirements list when looking for a hotel these days.Do they allow pets.In most cases the answer is no.What’s a modern family gonna do? Give up? I really wanted our new tradition to be a mini getaway and that’s when The Adelaide Hotel came to the rescue. Praise the lord the hotel is a pet friendly hotel and we are so grateful for all the services they offer to pets! Ever since we got Margot, she is my top priority, and giving her the best pet life possible always comes first.

What I loved about the hotel is that the staff went far and beyond to make us feel like we were at home during our Christmas Holiday getaway.
We informed the Trump Attaché™service that the reason of our getaway with Margot was to celebrate our first Christmas in our very own modern family setup. The staff at Trump Toronto ensured us we had nothing to worry about except showing up for our booking. I had no idea what I was setting myself up for, but holy I was blown away.
There was a Christmas Tree set up for us in our living room area with presents for Margot, Kamiran and I under the tree which was an incredibly generous gesture. The coffee table had a beautiful holiday theme flat lay set up with a station to decorate our very own gingerbread house and gingermen cookies, a delicious cake for Margot’s upcoming birthday, ingredients to garnish our hot chocolate with marshmallows and other edible goodies. Even when one of the housekeeping ladies came to bring us our bottle of water she could not believe we had a Christmas Tree in our room.I am with you lady! I was just as excited as you were. Then in our bedroom there were two glasses of milk and a tray of sweet and savoury treats waiting for us, and last but not least Margot had her own little section in the bedroom with organic gourmet treats, a comfy bed, water and food bowl for her. Pretty sure Margot was also loving the size of our suite and how she had so much room to run around. Even though she is just a small size breed she does love to run.
All the staff were extremely friendly, they also wanted to say hi to Margot and pet her all the time (I mean she is pretty darn cute), but not a moment did we feel like they were just doing their job. We felt like they truly wanted to help us and chat with us, which we loved. It is so great to be in a space where dogs are welcomed and most importantly loved.
