Lace, tulle, embellished details. All things feminine except sometimes a bit too feminine and girly for some. If you watched my snapchats last week, I found this gorgeous lace white, button down dress at GUESS. I absolutely adore lace, so I had to have it.  Although I do define myself as feminine, I do like turning something that is ultra-feminine to something that can be worn by the everyday urban girl who prefers to be more hip than classy. So for today’s look I wanted to show you how to style feminine pieces with an urban edge.

Jackets are always a great way to add a little bit of edge on something that is ultra feminine or super dressy. I love throwing on a leather jacket that completely transforms the look of the outfit. This lace dress for example went from evening wear to day wear just by adding this military jacket. I also added the booties for an additional edgy spin to the look, if you will. If I wanted the look to be a little more on the classy and elegant spectrum I would have added a pair of pointy heels. Both the jacket and the dress are from GUESS, and I honestly love how the two came together to create the perfect urban outfit combo. I could have definitely gone edgier with this look, but I like a more subtle edge.  How do you style feminine pieces with an edge? Are you more an urban, hip type of gal or are you more inclined to go for classy without the edge?

This post is done in partnership with GUESS. All opinions are my own.
