Let’s face it. Not all of us are tea drinkers. From coffee lovers to latte addicts, I myself would not classify myself as a tea drinker. But never say never. As you recall from my Instagram postings a month ago, I have been wanting to cut out coffee from my life, in efforts to lead a healthier more balanced lifestyle. Like I said, never been a huge tea drinker, but I think I had misunderstood tea for many years. Like, tea is actually not boring. I mean you can do a lot more drink combinations with tea than you can with coffee. And honestly tea is much healthier than coffee. Take for example the new Pure Leaf Unsweetened tea which has 0 Sugar, 0 Calories and 0 Artificial Sweeteners which means 0 compromises. Umm hello summer body. So here I am, newly pronounced tea lover. Forget about coffee. I sure forgot about my vanilla latte. Grab a bottle or two of the new Pure Leaf Unsweetened Iced Tea, and let’s enjoy summer days without the artificial sweeteners. From a tea drink to boost your energy while you are sitting at your cubicle at work to a little iced tea refresher after your workout at the gym to even some delicious spiked tea beverages before a night out with your girlfriends or for a chill night at your backyard; you are going to be addicted to tweaking your  Pure Leaf Iced Tea. Just add your ingredients, pour in a glass, and serve on ice!

Ingredients

Half a pomegranate

1/2 teaspoon of peeled ginger root

1/4 grapefruit

1 cup of Pure Leaf Unsweetened Green Iced Tea

A squeeze of lemon

Directions

De-seed the pomegranate, and grate the ginger root.

Combine the pomegranate seeds, peeled ginger, grapefruit and Pure Leaf Unsweetened Iced Green Tea.
Use the juice setting on your blender and blend until all ingredients are blended well.
If you please, you may want to strain all the pomegranate seeds and ginger pieces after the blend. I personally like drinking the seeds. The majority of the fiber in pomegranates is found in the white seeds. I blend the ingredients together so that the refresher is less chunky and easier to chug.

The Spiked Teata

Ingredients

1/2 cup frozen blueberries

1/4 cup blueberries

Pure Leaf Unsweetened black iced tea

1 thick pineapple slice

1 1/2 shot of Vodka
1 teaspoon granulated white sugar or vanilla extract (optional)

Directions

Add all blueberries and granulated sugar (optional) in a blender with one cup of the Pure Leaf Black iced tea in the purée setting.
Pulse until all ingredients are puréed well.
Drain the blueberry mix with a strainer to remove all the little skin pieces of blueberry (optional). I find the skin of blueberry sticks to your teeth when blended so the last thing you want is your guests to have it all over their teeth. Use a different berry like strawberries if you are time restricted.
Pour into a serving glass, leaving about 1.5 inches of glass space.
Rinse your blender.
Add the pineapple and vodka into the blender, blend together until smooth in the smoothie setting. Pour in glass on top of the blueberry blend.
Garnish with blueberries.
*I used frozen blueberries as ice to ensure that my drink will not be water downed and to maintain the natural flavour of the black iced tea.

Please note that all of the iced teas used are unsweetened, hence drinks have a natural flavour. If you prefer your drinks a bit sweeter I would add a teaspoon of vanilla extract or granulated white sugar. In addition, I refrigerated all of my Pure Leaf Teas before using.

Aw, look at little Margot there! She's a doll! This was a great post especially with summer right around the corner! Pure Leaf is always in my refrigerator at home. Justin would drink it all the time and it really is a good quality tea. As a tea drinker myself, I would have to agree! Loved all of these recipes!enchantingelegance.net
