Sumissura Custom Made Blazer

Blazer: c/o Sumissura | Blouse: Zara | Jeans: 7 for all humanity | Handbag: Balenciaga | Heels: Zara | Bracelet: J.Crew | Necklace: Ann Taylor

Blazers are the epitome of a young professional or a professional at any age for that matter. I like modern blazers that are either oversized or a slim fit. None of that traditional boxy cut designs that are so outdated and really not a good fit for the young modern professional.

Adding more spring blazers to my closet has been on my list for quite a while now, so when I came across Sumissura, an online tailor where you can customize clothing with any details you want I was so thrilled. From choosing the fabric and style of your blazer to even adding your own initials where you want them, the customized options at Sumissura are endless.

The Sizing

Although Sumissura, asks in depth questions about body type and really you can order this without even taking you measurements, I decided I would. Now when I was entering my measurements I was getting an error that my measurement numbers are not aligning with my body type. Unless you really suck at math and have no idea how to measure I would say ignore this prompt. Like I had mentioned in my previous post here I have really broad shoulders, tiny waist. So obviously my measurements were odd. But despite that, my blazer turned out amazing and true to my body type needs. The blazer fits like a glove.

The Colour

I like the fact that Sumissura offers an array of coloured fabrics and pattern choices for your customized blazers. Whether you want a winter fabric like wool or a spring/summer fabric like linen (the one I chose).  Moving away from the traditional black blazer, it is nice to add some fun colour in your daily office wardrobe. From bright yellows to sophisticated baby pastels, say goodbye to those boring old grey blazers and Hello colour!

The Lining

Another fab feature that makes you feel like you are getting the royal treatment at Sumissura is that you can even customize the lining of your blazer. I wanted the lining of my blazer to be a fun print but at the same time a cohesive feel with the colour of the blazer. After playing around for a bit with colour combinations, I decided to go for a fun print. Not pictured here. Totally forgot to take a picture of the inside of my jacket but this is the lining I chose.

The Little Details

Another feature of my blazer I customized were the buttons. To create some contract with the baby blue, I opted for the gold Baroque buttons. The perfect touch. Other ways you can customize your blazers are pockets or no pockets, lapel style, your jacket bottom and so many more.

The Quality

I’m really impressed with how everything turned out. The fabric, the buttons, the stitching. Everything is top notch. I really can’t say there’s something I don’t like about the blazer.I probably would have liked it to be a bit longer, which is why I really think you need to take your measuring tapes out and start measuring. I kind of estimated how long I wanted the blazer to be and in retrospect I probably should have continued to use my measuring tape. Overall, I love this outfit because of its business casual vibe, but also perfect for a dinner date. The process of customizing your blazer is super easy. I really enjoyed using Sumissura, and I truly appreciate a site that allows you to personalize every aspect of the item you are ordering. Head on over to Sumissura to check out other clothing items you can customize like a skirt, pant suit or even a coat just to name a few.
