A couple of weeks ago I got invited to the Niagara Parks Open House. I may not be getting married any time soon, but I have a slight obsession with all things wedding, so how could I turn down such an invitation? From custom reception menus to carefully curated event planning, Niagara Parks ensures that each bride enjoys her wedding day by also providing an on-site wedding coordinator. For all the brides to be in the GTA area and beyond, I have put together a little guide for you to make the process of deciding your wedding venue at Niagara Parks a little bit easier.
Before we start let’s talk about what makes the difference on your wedding day and that is the floral arrangements. A wedding day without good flowers is like a cupcake without icing. As much as you want to enjoy it, the cupcake is simply just not the same without the icing. That’s why Niagara Parks has Floral Designers that will add the finishing touch on your special day with beautiful floral arrangements and bouquets. I mean how beautiful are these table arrangements?
Legends On the Niagara
The Open House was held at the Legends Restaurant. A beautiful mahogany and cedar clubhouse surrounded by trees and an enchanting lake. Conveniently, you can have your wedding ceremony on the covered terrace that overlooks the Battlefield course lake. Even though the landscape was a winter wonderland, the lake looked so serene. I can only imagine how beautiful this looks in the spring and summertime. This venue is ideal for up to 220 guests, with plenty of room for cocktail hour and hors d’oeuvres. Now being Greek, one thing I look for when attending weddings is delicious food. I had the chance to try some of the mouth-watering food Chef Chris Brown makes at Legends. To die for!
Whirlpool Restaurant is located along the treelined Niagara Parkway, a beautiful setting for all those that love a good view. If you are having an intimate wedding, this venue is ideal for 50 to 100 guests
Queen Victoria Place Restaurant
Queen Victoria Place Restaurant is open all year for wedding receptions and events facing both the Candian and American Falls. This venue is slightly larger compared to the rest of the Niagara Park venues, that accommodates up to 300 people and 175 seated in the restaurant. You can either choose to have a buffet-style, plated or food stations, or even a combination if you are a foodie.
A panoramic view that captivates your eyes, Queenston Heights is the perfect choice for anyone that is looking to have their reception at a quaint and charming location. The venue is ideal for any season. Spring blooms in the spring, beautiful flower beds in the summer, colourful foliage in the fall, and an illuminating wonderland in the cold winter months.
Elements on the Falls
Right next to the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, the nightly illumination of the Falls is as romantic as it gets at Niagara Falls. This is why Elements is the perfect location for all romantics and those seeking luxury. Accommodating up to 220 guests, the panoramic view will captivate everyone’s visual senses.
The venues have a variety of menu suggestions, but the Chefs are also able to create a custom-designed menu for your wedding. Here are some of the food menu samples I tried.

|Spicy Butternut Squash Bisque with Prosciutto Pastry Twist
Kale Salad with Dried Cranberries, Norsey Goat Cheese
|We were treated to a chocolate tulip with Maple Mousse and a fresh fruit tart with pear custard and ice wine gelato, possibly the yummiest dessert I have ever had.|
Ever since Kim Kardashian got married in front of a flower wall all the girls want to surround themselves in as many flowers as possible. This is why this location is so intimate and romantic.
I actually visited this location while I was at Niagara Falls. Tropical butterflies flying everywhere, plants towering over you, such a whimsical place.
Overlooking the Niagara River between the Canadian and Horseshoe Falls and the American Falls, this filed stone pavilion brings about a historic charm.
10 acres of Paradise on earth, the Dufferin Islands are connected by small bridges and footpaths. A secluded and quiet spot that will make you feel like a princess.

I just attended a wedding here and despite my absolutely strict taste, I had an amazing experience here and I thought to myself that this place is perfect! The food at Chicago wedding venues is delicious and the ambiance is elegant.
