Happy New Year my flaneurs!

Years will come and years will go, but this is the time when we are all reflecting on days past and days to come. It has been a week since the new year arrived into our lives and there is an endless list of things we will attempt to accomplish. Some we will succeed, some we will miserably fail to do so, but nevertheless the intent is there. With the welcoming of the new year, we also have a tendency to welcome a better version of ourselves. The need to search within and flourish in components which we feel we lacked in the year that passed, but to also preserve the traits that assisted in our success.

“New year, new beginnings, new me”, everyone will say and truly believe so. Sometimes the change is internal, sometimes the change is external. Sometimes, unfortunately, but realistically the change will not come. Sometimes, the change takes more than just a year to be achieved. Change does not happen over night, neither does it happen in a year. Regardless of our eagerness to be different in 2016, I too needed a change. Hence my new hair bob. Although I feel closer to the better version of me, as much as I loved my long locks, I needed an external change more so than an internal change.

A thing that will not change in the new year is my love for winter shorts. Continuing a trend from last year as seen here and here, winter shorts continue to be a must in my wardrobe. I haven’t been successful in finding a new pair this year, but hopefully soon.

What do you want to change about yourself this year?

Love this new hair cut, Eleni! I still haven't gone back to my long hair since making the change. It's an addiction- shorter and shorter. lolxx Gabriellapastelsandpastries.com

For some of the reason I didn't wear shorts since summer and I absolutely love wearing them in winter time with dark opaque tights! Thanks for inspiration darling!Tanyawww.StripesNVibes.com

You look beautiful with your new bob! This outfit has me thinking about Valentine's Day too! The soft pink sweater, polka dots, and red shorts would be so pretty. You know, I haven't tried shorts in the winter, but I may just have to copy you on this!amandabrezovsky.com

I honestly love your new hair. It's a big decision – I went through the same thing when I chopped off my hair, but it really suits you! Also, this outfit is gorgeous, I love how feminine it is. I never even noticed the heart shorts on Instagram since I was too busy obsessing over your sweater!xoSiffathttp://icingandglitter.com
