Long weekend was surprisingly nice in terms of weather, but reality is summer season is over and certain items in my closet have to be moved to storage. My collection of harem pants is one of those things that sadly I have to say goodbye till spring hits again. To optimize my closet space for winter, and since knit sweaters, wool coats and oversized cardigans take up so much space, I usually pack my summer clothes into boxes and take them to my storage. I can’t deal with the clutter of having a mixed closet of both winter and summer items. So if you want to let your closet breathe a little and not get overwhelmed every time you try to find something, I highly recommend separating seasonal items.

How do you deal with cluttered closets?

How fun is this wall?! I love this post– you look flawless. This weekend was lovely, but I agree. I am boxing up some summer pieces to make room for those bulky fall knits and sweaters. xx Gabriellapastelsandpastries.com

This outfit looks so comfy! I always do the same thing and put my summer and spring clothes into storage once fall hits. I don't have enough space for all of it! amandabrezovsky.com

I know right? Storing clothes in boxes helps to have less " I have nothing to wear" moments because you don't become overwhelmed with your closet.

I also try to go by seasonal items also leaving some transitional if I know I can mix them up with warmer clothes (like summer dress in winter time) as it saves me so much time when thinking what to wear))Loving your look!Tanyawww.StripesNVibes.comBlogLovin
