Even if your style is not defined by all things girlie there must have been a point in your life you wanted to feel like a modern day princess. Even Carrie Bradshaw wore a tulle skirt at the opening credits of Sex and the city. For the past year there has been an up rise of the tulle skirt. Even though I am more prone to investing in classic items instead of the latest trend, I decided I need a tulle skirt in my closet, asap! Finding a tulle skirt in an actual store is nearly impossible, but then I came across the online store Space 46 Boutique and that marked the end of my struggle.*I apologize in advance for the quality of the photos. I had a minor issue with my camera and had to improvise by using my iPhone instead.
I purchased this beautiful The Spring Dots Tulle Skirt from Space 46 Boutique (similar, mine quickly got sold out) in creme and I absolutely adore it. It is not an over the top tulle skirt per say, but it certainly feels like it when I wear it. Quality of the material is great, stitching is impeccable and skirt is also true to size. I am always hesitant to purchase items from online, but the skirt fits well at my waist.
A tulle skirt is one of those things you desperately want to have in your closet, but once you have it you just don’t know what to do with it. It is key that you deviate away from the cliché that you have to wear your tulle skirt for a fancy event. Dress the skirt down by pairing it with a t-shirt just like I did, or a flannel shirt is always a good way to tone down anything that is ultra-feminine. You can easily even add a cardi or a leather jacket on top and instantly you can take this tulle galore skirt to work. Instead of adding a fabric flower sash like I did, you can also add an everyday belt to make the skirt more casual. This way your tulle skirt is not held captivate in your closet until the next time you attend a wedding.
