I recently started watching Season 3 of Orange is the New Black and I realized that orange is definitely an undervalued colour. While flaneuring the streets of Toronto I decided to do a mini survey in my head (I tend to do this a lot) of how many people are wearing orange. Strolling down Yonge Street for several blocks and not a single person I came across was wearing orange. Not even a pastel version of it. So is Orange the New Black as popular on the streets as it is on Netflix? Or is its popularity simply confined within our computer screen? Nevertheless, I decided to bring out my darling orange dress and honour the existence of a colour that is not worn enough by our whole society, it seems.
The dress actually ties at the back, but I decided to add a brown belt and tuck the two strings of the dress underneath the belt. As lovely as the dress is and as much as I love the orangy shade, it is nice to have a break between the top and bottom part of the dress.
These are some of the orange dresses I am currently coveting. Perfect shade and designs for a sun kissed skin.
Let’s pause and talk about my hair bun. I love putting my hair up in buns, but my hair is not thick enough to perfect them. I am also not very fond of donut buns for myself. I like my hair bun to have some personality, if that’s even a thing, and doing a perfect circle is just not me. I always twirl and pin my hair around until some form is created that resembles a bun. Anyone else have a difficulty with hair buns?

Thanks for sharing Joelle.I will have to look at the link and be inspired. I find the days I don't care about what my hair bun looks like those are the best hair days. So weird.
Darling dress! This shade of orange looks amazing agsinst your tanned skin. The straw bag is the perfect accessory for summer and your hair bun looks fantastic! I love putting my hair into a bun as well, but it always takes some patience to do it. I need to get something orange. That is one color lacking in my closet. amandabrezovsky.com
Thank you Amanda!! I think it is a colour that we do not wear very often. I do love all your floral prints though. I mean who can compete with florals?

It may be the lightening but it is definitely an orange shade closer to coral than pink.
