You don’t have to attend a formal event in order to wear a maxi dress. The variety of maxi dresses is endless. From jersey to chiffon materials, this is one staple item that your closet needs. Many girls think you must have the right body type for a maxi dress, but I could not disagree more. Maxi dresses are for everyone. It all depends on how you style it and what print you choose. Maxi dresses are so versatile and can easily be dressed up or down depending on the occasion you are dressing for. You can add a cardigan, a jean jacket, you can even wear a t-shirt on top and instantly turn your maxi dress to a maxi skirt.
I love wearing this grey chiffon dress. It is so incredibly light weight, perfect for those hot summer days (which I am still waiting to come) and it can easily be worn during the day or be dressed up with heels for an evening date sans cardigan.
I know, I know. I have this bad habit of becoming obsessed with an item. I wear it over and over again, and then I kind of stop using it. This is the case with these pink suede flats. Same with my grey tote purse. Does anyone else have this habit? You would assume as a blogger, I would use different items for each photoshoot, eek but my flaneurs why stop using something when you love it?

My only warning about maxi dresses is to stay away from overwhelming prints. If it is a print that you love but are not sure, I would suggest wearing a cardigan on top to create a balance. Also, many women gravitate towards wearing black because it is supposed to be slimming. Ok, I know black is flattering, but why are you sacrificing the joy of wearing beautiful florals or pastels? You look beautiful regardless!
