Sharing with you this week one of my favourite gifts for the holiday season. Coffee table books.
I love giving a coffee table book as a gift because I feel it is a gift that many want, but do not want to spend the money to get it. Essentially, it is a useless gift because let’s face it, how many times are you are going to look over it, nevertheless it is a vital element for your coffee table décor. Here are my suggestions:
1. Chanel, Daniele Bott.
Crisp, all black and white photography encapsulates the classic style that Chanel represents.
2. Advanced Style, Ari Seth Cohen
Advanced style is one of my favourite daily blog reads. The book is a collection of images similar to those found on Ari’s blog. Photographing women in the later stages of their lives, this book proves that style is not defined by age.
3. My Greek Island Home, Claire Lloyd.
Paying ode to my home country, I absolutely adore the photography of this book. Claire has captured the essence of living in a Greek island; the joy, simpleness and kindness that fills each day while living in Lesvos.
4. I Brake for Yard Sales, Lara Spencer.
I admire Lara’s ability to take someone else’s garbage and turn it into something spectacular. The décor of each project she takes on and the transformation of each furniture item she finds is truly incredible as they translate across the pages of this book.
I believe this is rather self-explanatory. You will appreciate the book if you have visited the charming streets of Paris, and you will be moved to visit Paris if you have not.
6. Paris versus New York, Vahram Muratyan.
By using captivating graphics, Vahram compares the two metropolitan cities in the cutest way possible.
7. Vintage Cocktails, Brina Van Flandern
Adding some alcohol to the mix, love the vintage feel of this book. Definitely a must have if you like classic, simple cocktails.
8. What on Earth are you Wearing, Michi Girl
Colours and illustrations of this little book are mesmerizing, reading it is delightful and funny, but do not buy it if you are actually looking for an encyclopaedia of fashion. All definitions have a snarky aspect to them, mostly composed to entertain.
Another great book by Kate Spade that truly inspires you to pack your bags and go somewhere.
Or, if you’re on a budget, at least dream about it.
10. The Forest Feast, Erin Gleeson.
Truly a feast for your eyes. Adore the way the recipes of this book are portrayed across the pages, very engaging and visually appealing. Even though all recipes are vegetarian, they are delicious and appetizing. You may actually want to keep this book in your kitchen.
Happy Shopping!
