There is something I love more than fashion. Desserts.As mentioned last week, one of my New Year's resolutions is the Pastry Project with my partner in crime, Claudia. Our project begins at Butter Avenue. Decor is minimalist and modern. I prefer the shabby chic look, but I think the taste of the macaroons makes up for what is lost in design. Row after row, the colourful macaroons brighten up the space. I opted for an elaborate decorated tart, St. honoré Raspberry. My tart was consisted of a creme chantilly raspberry, 2 macarons, pate sucree and fresh fruit = deliciousness in my tummy. Perfect consistency, perfect texture. My friend had the cream cheese passion fruit, lychee raspberry and white chocolate strawberry macaroons. She couldn't really taste the lychee, but we are not very picky. Give us macaroons and we will eat them regardless of the flavour at hand.
